Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo

A self-driving lounge on wheels for Generation Z megacities.

The Vision Tokyo was Mercedes-Benz's autonomous-mobility study aimed at the digitally native urban youth of tomorrow. Its five occupants sat on a wraparound oval couch inside a 'connected lounge' with wall-to-wall screens and holographic displays, rather than facing forward. Power came from an F-CELL plug-in hybrid combining a hydrogen fuel cell with a battery, offering emission-free driving and a total range of around 980 km. It rode on 26-inch wheels and glowed with blue accent lighting.
