Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV

A supercharged V6 plug-in hybrid full-size SUV

The Concept GC-PHEV, standing for Grand Cruiser Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, was unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show as a full-size, permanent all-wheel-drive SUV and a hint at where a next-generation Pajero might go. It used a front-engine, rear-drive-based plug-in hybrid layout combining a 3.0-litre supercharged MIVEC V6 and an eight-speed automatic with a high-output motor and a high-capacity battery. It was larger in every dimension than the Pajero of the time and seated four.
