A plug-in hybrid crossover with vehicle-to-home power
A plug-in hybrid crossover concept first exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2009 ('PX' for Plug-in hybrid crossover, 'MiEV' for Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle). A 1.6-litre petrol engine served as powerplant and generator for two 30 kW motors, one on each axle, giving series/parallel operation, S-AWC with electric active yaw control and around 30 miles of EV range. It also offered a power-supply mode to run home appliances in emergencies.
