A downsized turbo-boxer hybrid wagon
A sporty wagon concept shown at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, pairing a turbocharged, direct-injected 1.6-litre horizontally-opposed 'boxer' engine with Subaru's own HEV hybrid system and a single electric motor. Driving through a longitudinally-mounted chain Lineartronic CVT, the system offered continuous AWD even in electric-only mode and regenerated energy through all four wheels under braking, aiming for 2.0/2.5-litre output with better economy.
