A diesel-hybrid vision of Subaru's all-wheel-drive future
The first of Subaru's Viziv (Vision for Innovation) concept series, unveiled in Geneva as a compact crossover previewing next-generation design and drivetrain ideas. It paired a 2.0-litre Boxer diesel and Lineartronic CVT with a plug-in hybrid layout: a front motor for drive and generation plus two independent rear drive motors, forming a new take on Subaru's Symmetrical AWD with torque-vectoring assistance. A 'Hybrid SI-DRIVE' system worked with EyeSight stereo cameras to coordinate power delivery.
