An AI-driven car built on 'kinetic warmth'
Debuting at CES 2017, the Concept-i was designed by Toyota's CALTY Design Research around the philosophy of 'kinetic warmth,' the belief that mobility technology should feel warm, welcoming and fun. The car is built around an artificial-intelligence agent named Yui that learns the driver's preferences, moods and needs, monitors alertness and emotions through biometric hardware, and can ramp automated driving support up or down as conditions require. The AI-focused electric concept prioritised the human-machine relationship over drivetrain detail.
