A hydrogen fuel-cell car that doubles as a power plant for society
The FCV Plus, revealed at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, extends Toyota's hydrogen vision beyond zero-emission driving. Its fuel-cell stack sits between the front wheels and the hydrogen tank behind the rear seat, with independent in-wheel motors on all four corners freeing up a spacious cabin in a compact footprint. Beyond the road, the car is conceived as a miniature power plant: its stack can generate electricity from hydrogen stored outside the vehicle to fuel other cars or feed power back into the local grid.
