Art Deco on wheels, straight-eight and all
Sketched on a napkin by Bob Lutz and designed by Bob Hubbach, the Atlantic paid homage to 1930s coachbuilt grand tourers like the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic and Talbot-Lago T150. Its sweeping Art Deco coupe body sat on 21- and 22-inch wheels, with a period-styled interior. Uniquely, its straight-eight engine was fabricated by joining two Dodge Neon four-cylinder blocks into a 4.0-litre inline-8.
