Concept car · 2004 · Combustion

Mid-Engine, Four turbos, Twelve cylinders -- a 248-mph American supercar.
The ME Four-Twelve was Chrysler's answer to Europe's hypercars, its name spelling out its Mid-Engine layout, Four turbochargers and Twelve cylinders. The AMG-derived 6.0-litre quad-turbo V12 made 850 hp, driving a paddle-shift 7-speed transaxle. With a carbon-fibre and aluminium-honeycomb tub keeping weight to 2,880 lb, it claimed 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and a 248-mph top speed. It never reached production, reportedly amid Chrysler-Mercedes tensions.
