Ford Seattle-ite XXI

A six-wheeled nuclear dream for the 21st century

Displayed as a 3/8-scale model on the Ford stand at the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, the Alex Tremulis-designed Seattle-ite XXI imagined a nuclear-powered turnpike cruiser. It rode on six wheels (four steerable up front), and previewed ideas that later became reality: interchangeable power modules, interchangeable bodies, and computer navigation with a central mapping screen.
