An armored urban bunker on wheels with a giant tailgate screen
The 2005 Detroit-show SYNus was a boxy, armored-car-inspired compact crossover on the Fiesta platform. In secure mode it deployed shutters over the windshield and bullet-resistant side glass, with a vault-style spinner on the rear hatch and a B-pillar combination lock. Its headline feature was a huge tailgate-mounted LCD, with seats that could rotate into a rear-facing conversation pit.
