McLaren Speedtail Albert (2021)
Concept car · 2021 · Hybrid

A one-off Speedtail honouring the hypercar’s first prototype.
The Speedtail Albert is a one-off commission by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), conceived by McLaren Beverly Hills for a private buyer and revealed in 2021 as production of the 106-car Speedtail run drew to a close. It pays homage to 'Albert', the very first Speedtail prototype (chassis MVY02). That car was itself named after Albert Drive in Woking, where the McLaren F1's own 'Albert' test mules were built. The car wears a Magnesium Silver and Ueno Grey scheme echoing the F1 and the Le Mans-winning F1 GTR, with fine flow-visualisation lines mimicking airflow over the body. The paintwork alone took twelve weeks of MSO handwork.
