A track hypercar imagined for the year 2030
The Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo was McLaren's entry in the Vision Gran Turismo project, created for Gran Turismo Sport. It placed the driver in a prone, feet-forward position at the centre of the car for the lowest possible seating point, wrapped in extreme active aerodynamics. Power came from a petrol-electric hybrid layout, and its ideas fed into how McLaren thought about future track cars. Those ideas were ultimately realised as the production McLaren Solus GT, the track-only single-seater revealed in 2022.
