The electric reincarnation of the classic Microbus for the MEB era.
Revealed at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, the ID. Buzz reimagined VW's iconic Type 2 Microbus as a fully electric, autonomous-capable people mover on the new MEB platform. Twin electric motors - one per axle - delivered 369 hp and all-wheel drive, fed by a 111 kWh floor-mounted battery good for nearly 300 miles of range and DC charging to 80% in 30 minutes. Strong public response led VW to confirm the ID. Buzz for production, which began in 2022.
