A smaller, affordable V6 roadster pitched as the Viper's little brother
The Copperhead debuted at Detroit in 1997 as a slimmed-down, cheaper sports roadster aimed at buyers priced out of the Viper. A 2.7 L aluminum DOHC V6 made 220 hp driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual. Wrapped in Copper Fire Orange with snakeskin-themed amethyst leather, it targeted a roughly $30,000 price but never reached production.
