Volvo Concept Coupe

A P1800 for the modern era that redefined Volvo design

The Concept Coupe was the first of three concepts that established Volvo's modern design language under design chief Thomas Ingenlath, drawing on the classic P1800. Built on the new Scalable Product Architecture, it paired a turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder petrol engine driving the front wheels with an electric motor on the rear axle, making it a plug-in hybrid. Its styling directly previewed the production Polestar 1.
