Volvo YCC (Your Concept Car)

The first concept car designed entirely by women

The Volvo YCC, or Your Concept Car, was conceived, designed and engineered by an all-female team to meet the everyday needs of drivers who often make the buying decision. The three-door, four-seat coupe featured motorized gull-wing doors, an automated parallel-parking assistant, run-flat tires, headrests indented for ponytails, and easily swappable interior textiles. Maintenance was reimagined too, with an engine designed to need an oil change only every 50,000 km and to radio a workshop before service was due.
